Company Profile

Yarns Plus is a mail order business that specializes in quality Tencel and rayon chenille yarns. Yarns Plus grew out of the hand-dyeing and weaving business of Woven Works Studio, established by Marie Payne in 1995. In 1998 Marie’s partner Don took over the yarn side of the business opening Yarns Plus.

Yarns Plus is a primary North American source for Tencel Yarn to the knitting and weaving communities. Tencel is an eco friendly product made from wood cellulose harvested from sustainable forests or managed tree farms. The closed loop production process recovers up to 99.6% of the processing solvents for reuse. We offer a range of undyed and black Tencel yarn in seven sizes along with a full spectrum of Mill Dyed Tencel yarn in 2/8.

Rayon chenille is such a luxurious, desirable yarn to work with and dyes beautifully. We stock undyed rayon chenille in two weights and have a large inventory of black professionally dyed for us. Our mill dyed Rayon Chenille is available in 30 colours.

Marie’s collection of hand painted Tencel Scarf Warps are our premier product. She has also created a line of hand painted variegated yarn in both Tencel and Rayon Chenille. We constantly search for outstanding yarn values for our customers.
